David E. Nagle

  • Lecturer

David E. Nagle is a partner in the Richmond office of Jackson Lewis, one of the nation’s largest law firms dedicated to workplace law — labor, employment and employee benefits. As a practitioner, his work in traditional labor law matters has included union representation campaigns, bargaining, unfair labor practice charges and labor disputes. He has litigated individual and class claims arising under laws relating to employment discrimination, unpaid wages and various other statutory, contract and tort claims. Nagle has considerable experience in trial and appellate courts across the nation enforcing agreements to arbitrate workplace claims, including his successful argument on behalf of the employer in Circuit City Stores v. Adams, the seminal case in which the U.S. Supreme Court held that the Federal Arbitration Act requires judicial enforcement of compulsory workplace arbitration agreements.
