Mike Lincoln

Mike Lincoln is the business department chair at Cooley LLP, where he directs lateral recruiting and strategy. His practice has represented leading venture capital firms, angel investors, investment banking companies, and other technology and emerging growth companies. Lincoln specializes in public and private offerings as well as mergers and acquisitions.
A graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Virginia School of Law, Lincoln was on the managing board of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Raven Society and Omicron Delta Kappa. He clerked from 1991-92 for Judge Joel Flaum, Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Chicago. Before joining Cooley, he also worked as a partner with Hunton & Williams and an associate with Latham & Watkins.
In addition to his responsibilities at Cooley, Lincoln serves on numerous boards and councils, including the Federal City Council, the Medical Care for Children Partnership Foundation, the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association and the Alumni Council of the University of Virginia School of Law.
Lincoln is an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia Law School. He teaches a course on emerging growth companies and venture capital.
