Robert Zack

Robert G. Zack, who will teach the spring Law School short course Federal Regulation of Investment Companies, served as counsel at Dechert's New York City office until April 2014. He assisted registered investment companies and investment advisers with financial services matters.
Prior to his working at Dechert, Zack served as executive vice president and general counsel of OppenheimerFunds Inc., an investment adviser to retail mutual funds and institutional clients, from 2002 until January 2011; until December 2011 he was also general counsel of the parent company of OppenheimerFunds. Zack was associated with OppenheimerFunds for more than 31 years, prior to which he was associated with other law firms in New York City. He is currently an independent trustee of a family of exchange-traded funds listed on the NYSE, serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations and is a member of the Investment Companies Committee of the NYC Bar Association.
