Rachel Nadas

Rachel Nadas is the Kelly and Crandall/Consumer Litigation Associates Fellow at the Legal Aid Justice Center. Prior to joining LAJC, she served as a law clerk to Judge Frank Montalvo in the Western District of Texas.

Nadas was a public interest/public service scholar at American University Washington College of Law. During law school she interned at the Southern Poverty Law Center's Immigrant Justice Project, the East Bay Community Law Center and the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice. Nadas was awarded the Dean's Award for Professional Responsibility for her clinical work, and the Washington College of Law Alumni Award for her contributions to student activities and the progress of the law school. 

She is the co-author of “Damaged Bodies, Damaged Lives: Immigrant Worker Injuries as Dignity Takings,” (forthcoming, Chi.-Kent. L. Rev.), and “Justice for Workplace Crimes: An Immigration Law Remedy,”(Harv. Latino L. Rev. (2016)
