Susan L. Whitlock

Susan L. Whitlock serves as the resident judge of the Culpeper Circuit Court, Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, where she was appointed in 2012. Prior to that, Whitlock served as a juvenile and domestic relations district court judge commencing in July of 1999.
She served as commonwealth’s attorney for Louisa County, Virginia, from February 1994 until taking the bench in 1999. Whitlock received her law degree from the University of Richmond in 1991 and was an associate attorney in the law firm of W. W. Whitlock., until she was appointed and then elected to serve as commonwealth’s attorney.
She teaches Virginia Practice and Procedure at the Law School.
