Two University of Virginia law students received awards yesterday for their academic performance.

Katherine Mims Crocker '12 won the Jackson Walker LLP Award, given to the student with the highest grade-point average in his or her class after four semesters. Second-year student Ben Tyson won the Carl M. Franklin Prize, which recognizes the student with the highest GPA at the end of his or her first year.

Recipients of the awards receive a cash prize and have their names engraved on plaques in Hunton & Williams Hall.
