The Visiting Room Project

The event is a screening of clips from the Visiting Room Project, a digital experience that invites the public to sit face-to-face with people serving life without the possibility of parole to hear them tell their stories, in their own words. Attorney Dwayne Betts, a MacArthur Genius Fellow and founder of Freedom Reads, will deliver the keynote. There will be a panel discussion with people who were interviewed by the Visiting Room Project and are now free, the father of the victim in one of their cases and the co-creator of the project, Marcus Kondkar.
