Trauma-Informed Lawyering Training
The Domestic Violence Project will host a training on trauma-informed lawyering with the Virginia Victim Assistance Network to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In this introductory training, attendees will learn to recognize trauma in victims of domestic violence and understand its impact on memory, behavior, and the criminal justice process. Additionally, attendees will be introduced to trauma-informed approaches to representing victims of domestic violence and the value of being a trauma-informed attorney. Students will be able to attain a certificate of completion for attending the training. Zoom details.
