Book Panel on ‘The Proof: Uses of Evidence in Law, Politics, and Everything Else’

A panel of experts will discuss Professor Frederick Schauer’s book, “The Proof: Uses of Evidence in Law, Politics, and Everything Else.” Panelists include Alvin Goldman, the Board of Governors Professor of Philosophy and Cognitive Science at Rutgers University; Lisa Griffin, Candace M. Carroll and Leonard B. Simon Professor of Law and senior associate dean for faculty and research at Duke University; and U.S. Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the Southern District of New York and a UVA Law lecturer. Professor Gregory Mitchell will moderate and Dean Risa Goluboff will offer opening remarks. Reception to follow.
