Building the CDC That America Needs

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed weaknesses in U.S. global health security policy and infrastructure, leading to crises on several fronts. The Miller Center’s new Health Care Policy Project, co-led by Professor Margaret Foster Riley and UVA presidential studies professor Guian McKee, joins Stephen Morrison of the Center for Strategic and International Studies — who is also the Miller Center’s James R. Schlesinger Distinguished Professor — for a conversation about what lies ahead for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
