Course Description

This January term course meets Monday-Friday, January 12-16. This course explores the changing legal resolutions in respect to the human body and its part. The topics surveyed include regulating the retrieval and allocation of organs for transplantation; reproductive cells and organs (sperm, ovum, pre-embryos, and surrogacy agreements), creating and exploiting embryonic and adult stem cells, and regulating the use genetic material. ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT: Attendance at all class sessions is expected COURSE REQUIREMENT: Examination with a paper option.
