Course Description

Advanced Campaign Finance Seminar offers an in-depth look at the increasingly complex web of federal, state, and local laws that govern money in politics. The Seminar will review past efforts to regulate political money, as well as recent U.S. Supreme Court cases like McCutcheon and Citizens United. Class sessions will also focus on the topics of disclosure, tax rules for non-profit political groups, “pay-to-play” laws, enforcement procedures, federalism, and the Internet.
