Course Description

The short course will focus on the federal regulation of investment companies (mutual funds, closed-end funds, ETFS) and their investment advisors, with a practical approach to understanding the practice of law in the context of advising investment companies and their investment advisers on the types of problems that typically arise, from an in-house or outside counsel’s (or regulator's) perspective.

Description: A take-home examination will also be distributed in a sealed envelope on the last day of the class, and students will be on their honor to prepare exam answers during the allocated time stated in the instructions upon opening the envelope, and upload their answers to EXPO shortly thereafter. The deadline to upload exam answers is 4:30 pm (EST) on Friday, March 17th, 2017.

Course Notes: This Short Course meets from February 20 through March 3, 2017.  ATTENDANCE:  Attendance at all class sessions is required.  Enrolled students who do not attend the first class session will be disenrolled in accordance with Academic Policy. Students seeking to enroll in this course must attend the first class session.
