Course Description

This is the first semester of a yearlong seminar designed to enhance students' understanding of ethical issues and address the broader ethical and moral responsibilities of the lawyer as citizen and leader. We will discuss five works of literature or film that raise ethical and philosophical questions about the human condition. Our past selections have included works such as Hillbilly Elegy (Vance), Between the World and Me (Coates), My Brilliant Friend (Ferrante), and films like Spotlight and Jiro Dreams of Sushi.
