Course Description

Students in this semester-long clinic will have the opportunity to work closely with attorneys at the Southern Environmental Law Center on a range of activities related to the protection and restoration of natural resources and the environment of the Southeast. Additionally, students and the instructor will represent non-SELC clients in other matters.  Student activities will include performing legal research and analysis, conducting factual investigations, drafting comments on state or federal agency regulations or permits, drafting briefs or other pleadings, participating in meetings with agency staff, legislators or other officials, and participating in other proceedings.

Written Work Product
Written Work Product: Drafting comments, briefs, letters, and other documents. Students will also be required to submit an exit memorandum by the last day of class (submitted directly to Professor, not via EXPO).
