Course Description

The course covers fundamentals of U.S. legal research materials and methods, and focuses on various forms of descriptive legal writing. The fall semester of GLRW I explores sources of U.S. law through research exercises and short writing assignments, including Bluebook citation. The spring semester (GLRW II) further addresses descriptive and predictive legal reasoning and writing, with an emphasis on clear communication in english. Students will be asked to express a legal opinion both orally and in writing.

Written Work Product: Three writing assignments of increasing lengths (3 to12 pages) and complexity (submitted directly to professor, not via EXPO).
