Selected Intellectual Property, Internet, and Information Law Statutes, Regulations, and Treaties
The 2021 edition of this annual volume marks a transition from Roger Schechter’s longtime editorship of Selected Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition Statutes, Regulations, and Treaties to Sharon K. Sandeen and Elizabeth A. Rowe’s editorship of Selected Intellectual Property, Internet, and Information Law: Statutes, Regulations, and Treaties. This edition contains all the statutory and rule material needed to cover basic IP topics; the scope has, moreover, been expanded to include key internet and information law sources. This added material makes this a valuable supplement for multiple IP, internet, and information law courses. Additionally, the book has been reorganized into two parts: one covers U.S. statutes and related materials organized by topic; the other contains important international IP agreements organized alphabetically. Textboxes have also been added at the beginning of each chapter to provide insights on the history of various laws, the legislative process, and statutory interpretation. Students can greatly enhance their understanding and learning of IP by owning and using this book, which they can reference and annotate throughout law school. Then, they can take their marked-up, dog-eared copy to their first job, where it will serve as a familiar and useful legal reference.
