University of Virginia law professor George M. Cohen argues that false allegations of fraud made by lawyers against 2020 election workers makes it critical for existing legal ethics rules to explicitly protect election officials from attorney misconduct. Misrepresentations that undermine the election system deserve the same condemnation as those that undermine the judicial system, he says.
