Course Description

This course is designed to provide a survey of the spectrum of topics generally considered part of "health law." It is equally applicable to the student who knows little about health law and the student who knows a great deal about certain areas but wants to understand more about the whole field. It will introduce the various institutions and players involved in health care delivery and the legal relationships between those institutions--at both the state and federal level. It will cover issues of access and cost and quality control including the "moving target" of health care reform. We will explore the basics of bioethics and public health and cutting edge technologies.
