Course Description

This class explores a variety of topics that arise in the practice of business law. The colloquium will include classroom overview lectures and featured guest speakers who will discuss their professional experiences as practitioners in various areas of law and business. It is designed for students with some experience in business law (though extensive experience is not required) who wish to learn more about the range of issues and opportunities that can arise in this area of legal practice.

Written Work Product

Students will submit 3 short reflection papers over the term (due directly to instructors, not via EXPO), along a brief final assignment related to the course sessions.

Prerequisites: It is recommended but not required that a student has completed Corporations (LAW 6103 or 6109) OR Intro to Law and Business (LAW 6113). Concurrencies: None
