A Conversation With International Justice Mission CEO Gary Haugen

Gary Haugen, founder and CEO of International Justice Mission, will discuss what drove him to pursue a career in public service, confronting some of the most difficult issues and heinous human rights violations in our country and around the world. A University of Chicago law graduate, Haugen previously was a human rights attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and director of the U.N. investigation in the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide. Haugen will speak about why he felt it was important for him to take up that fight and why students should consider doing so as well. The event will end with an open Q&A. Lunch will be served.
