Bonnie is Harrison Foundation Professor of Law and Medicine, Director of the Institute of Law, Psychiatry and Public Policy, and Professor of Public Policy at the University of Virginia. He chaired two studies on juvenile justice reform for the National Research Council. The main report is entitled Reforming Juvenile Justice: A Developmental Approach (2013).

When young people are brought under the control of our juvenile justice system, we all have a stake in making sure they receive the services they need and that they become productive, law-abiding citizens.
