Information for UVA Undergraduate/Graduate Students Wishing to Take a Law School Course
Students who attend the University of Virginia can take Law School courses with permission from the instructor, and by filling out this form. On the form, identify the course and obtain the authorizing signature of the law professor teaching the course. This form should be submitted in accordance with the deadlines noted below.
If seats are available after the add/drop period ends for law students, the Law School's Student Records Office will complete another form authorizing you to take the course. We then let you know that the form is ready for pick-up (in Slaughter Hall Room 107) so you can take it to your "home" department registrar to enroll you in the course (the Undergraduate School of Arts & Sciences, in most cases for undergrads, and the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences in most cases for graduate students).
