Seeking Legal Assistance?

The University of Virginia School of Law and the Pro Bono Program do not provide legal services to members of the general public. Law students may not offer legal advice unless they are working under the direct supervision of a licensed attorney. The Pro Bono Program does not have supervising attorneys on staff.

If you are in need of legal assistance, please do NOT call or email the Law School’s Pro Bono Program. To access pro bono legal help, you can contact the Virginia State Bar’s Virginia Lawyer Referral Service at (800) 552-7977 or visit the ABA Directory of Virginia Legal Service Providers or VaLegalAid.org.
