LEAH WARD SEARS LL.M. ’95 in 1992 became the first woman and youngest justice to serve on the Supreme Court of Georgia. In 2005, she became the first African-American woman to serve as a state chief justice in the U.S. She is now a partner with Smith, Gambrell & Russell in Atlanta.
NATASHA PERDEW SILAS ’92 is a senior litigation attorney with the Federal Defender Program in Atlanta, and co-dean of the National Criminal Defense College.
