Jennifer Markham Hulvey
- Assistant Dean for Financial Aid, Education and Planning
Jennifer Markham Hulvey joined the Law School in October 2009. She has worked in higher education since 1991, and came to the Law School from UVA's Student Financial Services office, where she helped implement the University’s student information system. In addition to her experience as a financial aid officer for Southern Seminary College (now Southern Virginia University) and James Madison University, Hulvey has also worked in the student loan industry for Bank of America and for ELM Resources (a student loan information system), and spent five years as a higher education software consultant.
Hulvey is a past recipient of the Lambda Law Alliance's Alvarez-Coughlin Award and the UVA Serpentine Society's Outstanding Service Award, and was the 2022 staff recipient of UVA's John T. Casteen Diversity-Equity-Inclusion Leadership Award. She is a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator® administrator, and past chair of the Oracle Higher Ed User Group Financial Aid Product Advisory Group. She is also an Accredited Financial Counselor® in good standing through the Association for Financial Counseling & Planning Education®.
