Luis Alvarez, Jr. ’88

Luis Alvarez, Jr. became the president and CEO of the Law School Foundation in 2007. Alvarez received his B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1985, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with high distinction, and his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1988. From 1988-89 he was a fellow at the Institute for International Studies and Training in Fujinomiya, Japan. He then joined Carlton Fields P.A. in Tampa, Florida, and was a shareholder with the firm until 1999, when he joined the Foundation.
