Lauren Parker
- Director, Office of Private Practice
Prior to joining the Office of Career Services, Lauren Parker was a senior associate in the Washington, D.C., office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. At Orrick, Parker was a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition group, where her practice focused on complex commercial and antitrust litigation in state and federal courts, and in investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the European Commission. Parker also worked with the ACLU of Maryland and with the Legal Counsel for the Elderly representing clients in diverse pro bono matters. During her tenure at Orrick, Parker served as a member of the office's Recruiting Committee, the Associates’ Committee and the Women’s Affinity Group.
Parker received a B.A. in English and a J.D. from the University of Virginia. As an undergraduate, Parker was a Jefferson Scholar and a counselor for the University Judiciary Committee. During her time at the Law School, she participated in Moot Court, the North Grounds Softball League and the Raven Society.
