Jennifer Echemendia joined the Graduate Studies Program in 2023 as an assistant director. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, she completed a two-year clerkship with the Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review (Arlington Immigration Court) through the Attorney General’s Honors Program. During the clerkship, Echemendia also administered the court’s active legal internship program, recruiting and supervising law students.
Prior to joining UVA Law, Echemendia lived in the United Kingdom for several years, where she qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 2018. She then worked for several years at a firm in Cambridgeshire, focusing her practice on trust and estate matters.
