Geri Greenspan is a senior pro bono fellow with Hunton Andrews Kurth, stationed at the Legal Aid Justice Center in Charlottesville. Greenspan has 10 years of experience representing survivors of intimate partner and sexual violence in protective order cases, family law matters and applications for humanitarian immigration benefits.
Greenspan is a member of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance’s Public Policy Committee, the Albemarle-Charlottesville Domestic Violence Coalition and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Human Trafficking Task Force. She was the recipient of the Sexual Assault Resource Agency’s Annette D. Grimm Award in 2018.
Prior to joining Hunton, Greenspan spent a year establishing a medical-legal partnership at the Virginia Legal Aid Society in Lynchburg. After law school, she served as a law clerk for Judge Norman K. Moon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. She spent two years as a volunteer with the Peace Corps in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, West Africa, and studied the archeology of ancient Greece as a Fulbright Fellow. Greenspan teaches Gender-Based Violence: U.S. Law and Policy at the Law School.
