Women’s Health Summer Fellowship

About the Fellowship

The Women’s Health Summer Fellowship was created in memory of Lila Kaufmann, a labor and delivery nurse, by her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Kaufmann ’86 and Eric Zankman. The Fellowship is designed to preserve women’s access to safe, affordable health care and to address systemic inequities and gaps that impede women’s access to health care in our country, including inequities in health insurance. Internships that enable students to preserve women’s and girls’ rights to safe, legal, accessible, and affordable ob/gyn care, contraception, and abortion are eligible. Up to two J.D. students will be selected each year.
