Professional Responsibility

This course will build a working knowledge of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Responsibility and how they apply to the types of issues that commonly arise in the practice of law, including an introduction to the potential for variation across jurisdictions. In addition, the course will address the role of an attorney as a licensed professional subject to rules of professional conduct vis-à-vis the client, the courts, the organized bar, and the community.
