Community Justice Project Information Session
Interested students are invited to an information session about the new pro bono Community Justice Project. Volunteers who are selected for this project will work in pairs with Legal Aid Justice Center (LAJC) housing lawyers and organizers to pursue an innovative agenda promoting housing and racial justice. Projects students will work on include redevelopment of current subsidized housing stock, research on state-wide policies to increase access to affordable housing, and racial justice in land-use and zoning in our community.
Students will be exposed to the practice of community lawyering, working with attorneys who represent directly affected groups and housing justice coalitions. Lunch provided with an RSVP through Symplicity by September 2.
