How To Listen
Show Notes: Meet the Hosts
“Common Law” kicks off with its very first guests: the hosts themselves. Risa Goluboff and Leslie Kendrick, dean and vice dean of the University of Virginia School of Law, interview one another and forecast what to anticipate during Season 1: The Future of Law.
The episode explores the hosts’ backgrounds as well as what they do — and don’t — have in common. For example, Goluboff’s scholarship reflects her focus on equality, while Kendrick, who is interested in the First Amendment, is focused on liberty. The two legal scholars take on whether the equality and liberty principles can be reconciled, share more on their personal backgrounds and talk about moments that shaped the trajectories of their professional careers.
