Student-Led Projects

Law students start organizations, run pro bono service projects and lead charitable efforts that not only benefit the community, but also build experience.

Students in groups such as the Law Student Advocacy Program often put their legal skills to work outside of the classroom. Participants in LSAP coordinate with the Virginia Department of Employment Dispute Resolution to represent state government employees facing a formal grievance process involving disciplinary actions or other employment disputes.

Numerous student groups have undertaken such public service efforts.
